I began my journey in ceramics as a student in Manchester, followed by a period studying at the Delhi Blue Art Pottery under the tuition of Gurcharan Singh and his son Mini. As well as focusing on improving my throwing technique my time in Delhi gave me a knowledge of glaze and colouring techniques that I have used throughout my work to this day. As soon as my throwing became proficient I made mugs and other domestic ware to be sold in the pottery showroom.

Currently, I design and make individual hand painted vases, garden planters, bird baths and porcelain/silver jewellery based on many different themes. However the main inspiration is the natural world - particularly the varied landscapes of the Shropshire hills and the North Wales coastline. I also like to reference the work of artists past and present who frequently influence the development of my ideas.

I enjoy experimenting with many styles and processes of ceramics including raku, earthenware, stoneware, porcelain, throwing, slip casting/trailing, handbuilding and enamel painting to name but a few.
